Tamegroute

Choosing Tamegroute pottery is not just buying an object; it's bringing a living material into your home—a material that tells tales of fire, earth, and time. It's a material that doesn't pretend, and in an overly perfect world, that becomes an absolute luxury. TIMUNTU shares this thoughtful choice with you.

Tamegroute pottery was born in a village in southern Morocco. It has been handcrafted for centuries. Here, nothing is standardized.

Each piece is turned, irregular, marked by the gesture. The clay is raw, the fire is unpredictable, the glaze is capricious. It is an alchemy more than a process.

Traditionally worked in a deep, mineral, almost mystical green, the ceramics are now available in deep blacks, terracotta reds, and chalky whites.

Bold, organic colors, never quite uniform.

Observe our pieces with their free, almost instinctive aesthetic. Plates with irregular edges, as if hand-notched; thick, almost sculpted bowls; vases punctuated with reliefs, like a skin.

Nothing is perfectly round.
Nothing is perfectly smooth.
And yet, everything is just right.

The brilliance of the glaze captures the light, revealing unpredictable nuances — a green that turns black, a red that cracks slightly, an almost liquid reflection. Each piece is unique, literally.
